Yes they are rough up inside. I try and skip em about 3-4' back in and readily swim em back out and then kill it, its a race sometimes getting the bait back out quick enough. But I think it looks like a panicked bait chased back there and then panics to get back out. Kind of a big commossion real quick. If they are home it excites em.
