A fellow was fishing in the "lake" it front of our development and hooked an alligator. Fought it for a while. I was walking by and asked if he caught anything. Commented he hooked an alligator, but did not know if he should break his line and let it swim away.
I volunteered to play swamp people and managed to get my hands on it and removed the hook before making some photo ops.
Gator was approx. 4 feet long and became calm once I closed his mouth and held on to him.
