'twas the week before Christmas with waves on the Gulf
not a fish was heard swimming we all would hang tough.
From first cast to last the group would fare well
this Salty adventure generating stories to tell.

The 4 pack of elvers all fashioned by me
with Slab, the star, the top of our tree.
Come Victor and Eileen and Skeetbum now checked
and Santa's assigner I'm called up2speck.

Our bounty was cleaned at rampside, no deal
then escorted to restaurant for our custom-cooked meal.
The banter was cordial all days have their ends
the memories created all made with our friends.

To say this event went great would unfairly not state
the overall value of Santa's elves finished first date.
Now ending this saga and poem to boot
the assessment unanimous "this was a real hoot"!!
