I don't know anyone who fishes down that way with any consistency, don't hear much about the KCOL on this forum for one reason or another so I don't know how much info you'll be able to get here.

Might check some of the airboat forums like southern airboat, etc. I know the Pig Trail is typically an airboat trail so I'm not sure what pontoons are doing running it in the first place, it gets clogged with vegetation often and can be sketchy on it's best days.

Can always loop around Sturm island if you want to go up that way, know it adds some miles but it beats spending the night out there.
