Sharing is real common for offshore fishing. When I used to run 550 to 60 miles offshore $500 was a normal fishing day back when the gas prices was so high. A big boat and you are talking over a $1000. I had to give that up. Used to be sharing expenses was illegal was you had to be a licence captain to take money. Crappie trips are cheap as we don't use minnows anymore and don't run far on the gas motor. Getting there is the only real expense and oh ya the stop at Hardies for breakfast.
