Thread: Chuck Auten

]After the weekend's stellar event in honor of Chuck and further reflection of my friendship with him over the years, I remembered yet another true example of his integrity. Many of you that never had the privilege of meeting him and the many that had even close relationships with him may not know this. Chuck was a representative for years of Guardian ad litem which is an organization that in conjunction with Dept. of Child Services acts in the best interest of children within troubled family situations. Chuck's "volunteered" service involved interviewing troubled families/children and making recommendations for sometimes drastic measures including relocating the children to another location/family environment. Also, Chuck loved doing rod repair(frequented Mud Hole in Oveido) using his creativity and skills sometimes only charging for parts, no labor.
As you can see, I can't say enough good things about this man and hopefully an annual event in his namesake = CHUCKTOBERFEST !!
Thanks Slab for your generosity in offering the past weekend's event of the free T-shirt for responding attendees ! They really turned out nice and mine fit perfectly. Also, I'm including same day Grenada tournament results(7 fish) to ours on Monroe(5 fish) and how really lucky we are!!! Can you imagine the back therapy bills for those that fish Grenada?!!
