Be very carefull about when you visit places like Flamingo in the glades.
There isn't a place on earth with as many mosquitos when the weather warms up.
If you survive long enough to get on the water and away from shore, you will be ok.
    Untill you return.

Fortunately we have never encountered any mosquitoes (or pythons. Alligators, however, are a different story.)

Yes, along with the I75 rest stop, but Holiday Park has been most consistent.

I have a group coming 1st week of February and fish in Lakeport and put in at Harney Pond. We rent a really nice cabin off of VRBO 1 mile from the ramp. The casino at the Seminole reservation is just a few miles away and has nice new cabins with a cleaning station.

J & S fish camp has cabins to rent, I’m staying there the first week of Feb. I called Friday and booked one of the cabins and the lady told me she had 3 cabins available. If you still need a place just google J and S fish camp Okeechobee, it’s on the east side of the lake about 15 miles from Okeechobee town. Hope this helps you or anyone needing a place to stay.
