We have a lance truck camper. It come off truck or goes on in minutes. I would never back a boat on ramp with that 2000# thing in my bed. Boat is a 17 Lund v bottom with full wind shield motor is 115 with 9.9 hp kicker motor. Front deck has crappie option two seats side by side. I got in all places I needed to in Okeechobee in the past with this set up. The 9.9 allows me to get around without fear of damaging 115 motor. Also a few times starting battery was dead or near dead in had enough power to start 9.9 motor and charge big motor. I saw two camps directly on these lakes with docks. I don’t mind launching very day but it’s nice to pull up to the campground for lunch breaks. Campground in Welaka had the one of best setups but limited spots and it’s booked up. They had covered slips even Fishing off dock. A bar on the dock and work campers kept place very clean
