I hit the boat ramp earlier today, and I was still 5th in line. But we all got on the water with no trouble. The air temp was much cooler, the water temp was much lower, and the wind was from a new direction.

I headed out into open water and shut down to find out what the wind was going to do. I relocated the boat to take advantage of the wind drift and set out the rods.

The first pass was just a test pass so I re set, but a little bit more off to the west. Started to make the second pass and the rod goes off. Skunk Off-first fish in the boat. I let the wind take me out towards the center of the lake and pick up two more fish along the way. All in all I made 4 passes this morning and ended up keeping 8 fish. I had one throw back and two early releases. Not bad!
