I hit the water by first light. There was a breeze starting to build but I headed out to set a drift line. My first pass netted me to fish to put in the box. I turned around and set up for another pass, this pass gave me three more fish to add to the box. The wind was picking up and I thought about call it a day....right after this next pass. By this time the wind had added some wave action to the program but I managed to add three more fish to the box. I turned around at the end of the pass, by now the wind and waves made it hard to control the boat. I headed in.
I ended the day with 8 keepers over 12 inches, 2 lost fish due to poor hook sets and 5 throw backs so that they could grow a little more. I was off the water and heading home by 10 am.
