5/13, took the Jon Boat to the last open launch. Well, set it up with an old 90's model Curado Bantam, CU200. Lot of reel I know, but it was just sitting around. I here a lot about B&M poles breaking, but I put this thing to the test! Pushing a double minnow rig out the side, picking up a few, them Umph! direct stop swung the little boat around and figured I had bottom.
Then the "bottom" started pulling me around! Allmost fifteen minuits later, up comes a 7.2 Lb Largemouth. It was a hoot!
I really leaned on that rod a bit, it worked great!
Got a couple of PA's on the way, i'll see if their worh the extra bucks.
