    From looking at the photos you posted I would say that guy needs to take a boat safety course. Where I live the marine forecast was smal craft advisory for today . That boat looks like a small craft to me. I grew up fishing and wish I could go every day but sometimes you have to listen to the weather report.

    ^^^^ I think everyone that registers a boat of any kind should take the Coast Guard boating skills and seamenship course offered by Coast Guard Auxillary. Took it years ago and have forgotten a pile of info but some things I remember and use every trip. Actually been considering taking again and dragging my wife and oldest son along. Best I recall it was 1 class a week for 8 weeks with exam at end to get the credit for insurance deductions. But that was in 1980 so number of classes could be off.

    And there was no small craft advisory for the area yesterday. I check that myself before every trip.
