Lake Harney Slabfest

What a great day meeting new friends and finding out who can tell the best stories.

This was the first event my wife and I have been able to attend. I always read about your tourneys and imagine the fun trying to out-do friends with common interest.

This morning was no expection. Started the day running across the lake on the south-east to start trolling. Being new to this lake I just used the same techniques that have brought success at lake Monroe.

The color of the day was a black beetle spin and black/pink roadrunners trolling about 1 knot. Fish were relatively steady and ended up with a mix of pick twister-tails and the beetle spin.

All in all ended up with a 5 fish weigh-in of just over 6 lbs...close to the third place team of 6.3 and about 20 specs in all.

Glad you both could make it. It was good to meet you. Nice to see your wifey fishing with you, sorry I could not fish cause my wifey is running at the Space Center as I type this. Great event, see you all at the next one.
