    Me and the cousin had an exceptional day today single poling at a privet pit in Lakeland! 1/32 bubble gum was the ticket we caught fish from 18"-12' deep from daylight till 11 today, no telling how many we could have caught if the wind hadn't gotten up! Kept 23 specks all over 11" biggest was 13.5" and 15 rather larger bluegills what a fun morning on the water!

    Rest of us hack our way around lake to lake, checking this, that, whining, crying about where to go, what type
    jig, color - tipped - untipped etc ......
    Than there lucky ones who know someone who knows someone who knows how to get onto those seldom
    fish pits in Polk County. Where fish are bigger than the live well, don't care what color jig, or depth - they are
    just hungry -

    Sorry MIke, i didn't think i sounded Grumpy, just wish i knew someone that could put me on one of those pit lakes just
    once to see what it was like to catch big spec's in Middle Florida without really trying.
    To all those that i sounded bitter grumpy - i am sorry - it was in error - i was just wishful thinking..

    Those are good looking fish that Nick caught.
