If you guys really want to put out some tomatoes down here, look into dutch bucket hydroponics. Eliminates a lot of the nutrient and pest issues that come with the territory of gardening in Florida.

I didn't grow a garden the past year, but I did the few years previous to that. I interned on a aquaponics farm in college, and it really opened my eyes to the benefits of aqua/hydroponics.

I did a side by side study of growing maters in the ground vs in dutch buckets in 2012. The hydroponics system produced fruit 3 weeks earlier than the in ground plants, and produced twice as well.
