You would have to need the money pretty bad. lol
But I did know a guy in the middle keys who was a licensed commercial hook and line snapper fisherman.
Yellowtails were his bag, everybody who recognized his boat, tried to anchor as close as possible.

Yes I have, like signing up to walk in the ring with Ali in his prime. First time deep jigging I laughed when they handed me that lil light weight jig rod until I realized how stiff them things were. Even dropping a 2lb livey down gives you that, should I really be doing this feeling. We left Ponce Inlet one time and ran northeast off Jacksonville over a wreck in 580' and were fishing above it at 380', mate came out with electric reels and 1 guy says " I ain't using one of them girly electric reels, give me a mans rod" he was literally crying and begging someone to take the rod after about 45 minutes. That one was one of the smaller ones that trip at 98lbs. He asked for an electric reel on next drop of his about an hour later. Love me some AJ's.

Without a doubt, thats a mean world they live in. Love taking my cousins from Michigan and putting them on some lil Jack Crevalles on light action. They are expecting a giant fish and then a lil 2lb jack comes to surface. That look is priceless.

I wish I had the picture still. I worked with a Captain Ramsey in Ft Myers Beach. We were in the tortugas and were tearing up the muttons.

He had one on the way up and all of sudden got smoked. Thought it was a shark. Finally winched it up and it was a jack @ 102 lbs. Ramsey is all of 5'5'' and 130 lbs. Fish was as big as he was. lol Was a 18" mutton snapper it ate.

Welcome to site Sunshine.....if trolling jigs/w curly tails, paddle tails, spinners beetle/road runners.....if drifting jigs under float, tipped w/minnow or just minnow on hook under float...the drifting option will be most cost effective = requires no special poles & will probably be the best way to go on lakes with current running through them for the next month or so after the recent monsoon, good luck & be ready to get hooked yourself...crappie fever is upon US! Soak up what the guys your meeting with have to say, they know how to fill a livewell.....

When Terry gets down, take a ride over to the Critter Fleet dock one afternoon and find the Waterproof. True Captains name is Tim, ask him when the absolute best time to book for AJ's is and we can certainly find a few people to make a trip less painful. I would go for sure on the Waterproof, dude knows bottom fishing and AJ's better than anyone from Sebastian to Jacksonville except for maybe a few commercial longliners. But make sure your talking to Tim, he hunts a lot through winter and might be a fill in captain, he is a scrawny guy about 5'6".
