You got that right about the wind as we actually had to go to the Sanford marina(because we couldn't make it back across the lake due to the huge waves) as we launched at Lk. Monroe park and headed to the southeast side at 6:45 am to my favorite spot and fished a coupe hrs but when it was time to start heading back when we noticed the wind picked up drastically there were 2-3 ft swells as i felt like i was in the ocean and had huge rollers coming over the bow of my lil 17 ft tracker so was forced to park for an hour at the Sanford marina(and loose valuable fishing time) until the wind died a bit as by far that was the biggest waves ive ever been in in my lil tracker was actually scary big waves but still had a blast and caught 8 crappie lots of warmouth bass a catfish and a 2 lb. bass so the fishin was still great for us![]()
