Thread: Missing Boater on Lake Beauclair

Have they said yet anywhere if it was under power by outboard or trolling motor?

trolling motor up
motor running and boat going in circles.

they were camping at trimble park from out of state and come here every year.

I saw him Fishing the point at trimble just around the point enough to be out of the wind. My opinion as I shared with the officers is that he eventually trolled closer to shore line to find fish and fished the shoreline and reeds down toward the dock on trimble. somewhere he started the motor to leave or to park at the docks and walk over to csmpground. I told them he probably close to shore?

Story of my brother-in-law .................
Bunch were camping south of Hwy#50 on St Johns.
Was late at night, brother-in-law left on "jet ski" to get more beer ....
Long time passed, other boys left in their boat to see if he was broke down or something...
Half way back they all collided on a curve, he was returning down river, they were going up river...
Nobody had lights or life preservers...
He got cut all up in boat propeller = died/drowned ......
End of story .................

omg that is Horrible sooo sorry

Sorry to hear that Danny. Early 80's I had to disconnect from a group of good friends because of things similar to what you spoke of. Too many close calls, drunk midnite boat rides with no spotlights, etc.... Always hate to hear of things like this.
