    Default Been a while...

First time in a very long time that I had all my girls out on the boat. The wife caught some sunshine and the rest of us caught some crappie and bass. Was on my little home lake and my last time out, met a nice gentleman who told me about some sunken brush he laid. All were caught on Bobby Garland Scent Wiggl'Rs in the bluegrass color. Rigged them on 1/32 ball chartreuse jigheads and fixed a bobber about 2-3 feet up. Only caught males, very deep colors. All released.

And then I pulled in this monster bedding bass!!

My oldest got big into sports this year at school and my youngest has been doing the chorus/drama route...so their interests have been diverted. Not to mention they go through the girly phases too where fishing with dad is a chore lol! Turned out to be a really fun day. They left asking when the bluegill spawn is so they can throw some redworms at 'em.

Eat it up while you still have their attention, I can remember when my oldest daughter wouldn't let me leave the house without her. Cherish those days.

Nice day with the family, and wasn't it nice of that gentleman to share his brush pile with you.

It was very nice of him, we've exchanged tips on this little lake a few times. Part of the reason I wanted to do all release from there.

Nice outing, your planting seeds for your grand children in the "distant/distant" future, fishing always bring them back to a simpler time of enjoyment....
