Thread: Elite 7 HDI Fine Tuning help needed

Download the latest software upgrade from Lowrance if your unit does not have the latest already, this can make a huge difference in refresh time, if a Bass Pro is near you they will do it for free even if you did not purchase it from them. You can get it off the Lowrance website. If still not satisfied they will swap out for a HDS unit for a reasonable price. Beware of Gen2 models that is straight touchscreen, if that screen malfunctions and it is out of warranty or with any Lowrance units, you just bought a $1000-$2000 disposable unit, in other words you ate it. At least with an Elite 7 HDI you would only be out 400-500 if it bit the dust providing the download fixes the refresh rate, it did for me. Note: LOWRANCE does not repair them! Buyer BEWARE!!!!!
