Heading down to fish Crescent this weekend. Looking for the best place to buy minnows. Google shows three places on hwy 20 between Gainesville and Palatka--wondering which one is best. We're staying in the Blue House on the lake.

Check with Leonards, they are next to the blue house on the lake. Usually have them but may have to buy the night before so you don't have to wait for them to open.

Just finished talking to 3 guys who live on Crescent - they pick up their minnows
at Georgia Boys - best prices and they give you ample product

If there is any way possible, I would bring me some crappie shiners with me. The ones they sell around Crescent are the black ones. The last place I know to buy shiners on the way down is around Tallahassee. When we always went down we hauled our shiners.

what you may save in minner prices you will spend in fuel & time unless you buy a bunch on your
way in & have a way to keep them for a few days.
