Powell's is ok - private - pay deal, if i remember correctly it is a dirt, single drop
into the water no dock - looking right at entrance to Dexter.
3 -4 brush piles on east side going into Dexter, locals anchor off them in
mid afternoon toward dark to spec fish.
We are planning on being there and will launch at Tedders ramp Kiserboy and Lori will be joining also. We may try dipping but have never done it before so might not last long. Looking forward to seeing you all Monday.
We may try tedders also..... I worry about get out the run.... Shallow

I put in at Highland on the 19t/h and fished the canal to Stone, Very scenic=fishing was slow.Put in at Teddars on the 21st, no problems. That was the day they were doing a controlled burn.Fished main lake, slow trolling and did well. They must of sprayed the lake= weeds not a problem and you can jig/cork the run on the way to the lake.

I fished Woodruff last November and they had killed every weed that was in the lake. I always long line troll with 1/16 oz roadrunners with curly tail grubs. Pink, orange, yellow are always good. I fish there in late Feb and early March also. But last November I noticed I had the best luck trolling near 2 MPH. All the other times it was in the 1 - 1.5 MPH range. I let the fish tell me what they want. Good luck to everyone. You better get them now because I will be there in a few weeks. JC

Wish I could Mike, that recent tourney 24 #'s on 14 fish & in those conditions = WOW factor....don't know if Highlands ramp has gotten any worse, but just remember having to be careful of how far trailer extends into water because of drop-off...any hoo I dug up a old photo & sure enough is dated 1-30-2010....one of the best stringers I ever had & came from trolling Norris Dead river from Highlands out to Lake Woody"s entrance from that side = it's time to get up that way...Good luck Guys !
crappie down !
Watch someone go out ahead of you, or ask to follow someone that knows the way out. I didn't have a problem last time I went out and was in a 16' jon. I followed a bass boat out to be sure I had the right path because I hadn't been there in years. With the rain we've had I can say that Jesup is up a lot more than it was a week ago and have no doubt that any concerns of it being shallow will not be an issue. The guy at Teddars will put you in the boat and drop you in no charge and park your vehicle so there's no issue at the launch.
