Default Lake Tarpon - 1 day get away

John Peyton / myself took "red" and headed
    to Tarpon this morning.
Fog, overcase, 73 degree at 6:30, could cut
    humidity with a knife.
    Water temp 74.8 -
Spider rigging was word today -
We started northeast end, open water 12 -14' range working spread of 10 rds 14 &16'
long. Wind out of ne 4 - 6 mph - very comfortable - little ripple. Various colors --
AWD crappie bites - blue/silver slider tail about 1" long, worked the best next too the ever hot setup pink -gold & red
ice jigs (moon jigs) all minnow tipped.
Bite was slow - but when they hit, itwas
with a vingence - those fish did not pussy foot around. Worked down
east almost to "pasture fence point"
    Stayed with deeper water working
almost on bottom. By 12:30 wind had
    ne - e - se - south - speed increased
    significally = South 14mph - gusting
near 20 ... Bite stopped at 11:15, we
    packed it in at 1pm

We kept 20, nothing under 11 inches,
    threw back 8..
Big fish wgt l lb 12.4 oz
    7 fish wgt 9 lbs 11.1 oz

Great report. I am contemplating going out EARLY tonight and giving it a go until I can't take it any more. I wold love to come home with a cooler such as yours.

BTW Your subdivision looks like the same as mine, but then don't all of them in FL.

    EDIT:

Curiosity got the better of me and I took a walk to see if I was correct. You sir and I live about 5 houses apart! One of these days I will have to stop in and chat with you to learn your secrets.

I needed the assistance of John - had been in terrible slump (depression) since
Classic @ Crescent. (pain - bad finish -increaseed number of meds etc)
Doctors are finally helping me get pain a little more tolerable -Steriod pain shot spine
L3-L4, 12/16 - can not work on pain in ankle till 1/6 - Added couple more meds to
growing list.(don't start looking and reading "side effects" of meds you take - they
will give you horrible outlook on life)
John really was God send - Just pleasure of fishing with someone as good as John, can restore ones feeling of knowing how, excuting and seeing results - makes a
    big difference in confidence building.
Over 9 lbs on 7 fish also helps build little confidence
