Went back checked tournaments records on Tarpon back to 2011...

Fish caught this past Saturday 12/26 were most weight caught out of Tarpon
    since Jan. 2011.

Old record was 11/23/13 Buddy Dobson/Vince McQuire
    big fish : 1 lb 9.5 oz
    7 fish wgt: 9 lb 9.5 oz

Fish caught this past Saturday were not in competition .......but saying could
be good tournament this commin January 30th

Only three (3) were females and were probably 4 wks plus before spawing,
males have not turned real dark yet..............

My error, grubs we were using are called Crappie Snacks made by AWD out of Georgia.
Steve Deason (The Crappie Shop) make them - minature style sliders - give plenty
of room on hook to add minnow.............

Probably did, heard Steve was down in the area practicing with some new grub
    products.

Check out his web site - I have been using his material about 8 yrs now..........
Tripple tail - curly tails are great especially in purple or blue combinations for
    Crescent.
