    Default Crescent 11/29-12/6

Headed to Crescent. We'll be staying at Lakeview Motel. Have never stayed here and was wondering if they have a fish cleaning area(assuming we catch fish to clean)? Have looked at pictures and they don't have one in pics. Stayed at Georgia Boy's last year and wanted to try something closer to middle of lake where we fished. Thanks for any info. Tight Lines! Grant

Lakeview is more of your standard type older motel. I don't remember them having a fish cleaning station on site but I could be wrong. Georgia boys is more of a motel / fish camp right on the water when Lakeview isn't on the water itself. It may be the only location for cleaning would be at either of the two launches? Sunrise Park and close by public launch? (Than again I've only stayed at the motel once and could be completely wrong) I'm sure more will respond with more accurate information.

Good luck to you and hope you find enough to keep you plenty busy cleaning

Stayed there once and looked as though the normal routine is to clean fish on dresser top. And I am being very serious. Dresser had many knife gouges and cut marks on it. Floor around it was very stained and miss colored. If there was a smell it was masked by the cigarette smoke in the room. And we reserved a non smoking room. Good luck on your fishing trip, hope you enjoy yourselves.

I was going to reply but this basically sums it up. We have stayed there a couple times. Not many choices. Good Luck. NO fish cleaning and def do not let the lady that runs it know, she will wear you out.

Why would you have a lakeside motel and no cleaning station? I guess it's like a truck stop with no restaurant. I must have forgotten, it's now down to "just give me your money and get lost". JEEEEZ!!!

Lol. I'm not even sure they are lakeside..... Only time I went out back was to get to my boat, and I didn't see water...... Still being the only game in town, what can you do lol. Lucky to find any rentals in the area this time of year from what I hear, unless it's long term.

They do kinda have a restaurant......across the street in the plaza, and a few others down off Central Ave / Summter.

I liked Georgia Boys for the one time I stayed........ But the ride down the river to Crescent / Dead lake got old kinda fast.

Okay, that's kinda what I figured(no cleaning of fish on property). If she would have told me that I would have booked elsewhere probably. That being said, is there anywhere you can clean fish? Thanks to all that answered. Tight Lines to all! Grant

Well, cancelled reservations. We'll be staying elsewhere. Can't understand how you can be "fisherman friendly" and not have a place for cleaning your catch. Called and asked her and she confirmed what was said in earlier post.NO fish cleaning! she told me I could give them to her. I told her she couldn't eat em if they weren't cleaned. Lesson learned. Thanks again guys! Grant
