Default Monroe: crappie in the rain

Well, you've heard the same old story. I take dad and he takes all the fish. It happened again on Monroe this morning. We fished all by ourselves(not many other boats) and there were a few schools in the area we were fishing in. Every time we passed through, man did our poles go down. A pole did end up getting yanked in the water.
Anyway, bubblegum and blue/chart were hot. We counted 82 boated and kept 15. Biggest was 14" and was caught in the rain.

I was there early so I probably saw you at some point. You did very well. I need to get used to who floats in what. I know some but still don't know a lot of the others. Glad Dad took you out for another lesson. It's good that he has a good time whenever you go. At 82 I'd say you both had a good day.

Blue and gray 16' Lund. Didn't see too many boats where we were fishing. Most boats I saw were in the middle of the lake and others were near the OPP.

Went exploring and found a few in the chain. Also stumbled across an apparent huge school of smaller green carp that completely tore my lines to shreds in a manner I have never seen.

14 lines in the water, than 12, than 8, finally down to only 4, before I yanked the rest out, and passed out on my deck. I even heard a few homeowners sitting out on their patios laughing their rears off at all the fish that were jumping behind my boat.

I limped out of that little lake, pretty much in shock.......

Looked at the boat this morning and it's littered with pieces of grubs, spinners, and at least 300 feet of assorted bits of line.

Still fun stuff! But darn I'm sore. 😎
