No new records noted after the 2007 catch, and only ten states have new records after 2000.

The Maine record is way outdated. It sets at close to 4lbs. That is if the state ever gets up to date. I released a 17 in. 3lb 9oz. a couple days ago.

That 6lb fish in Louisiana musta been a pig!

South Carolina held the world record for a long time. Hard to beat a 5 lb fish. Incidentally, our White Crappie record is 5lb 1 oz. only 2 ounces short of a world record also.It was caught in 1949.

IGFA records 5lb 0oz from Missouri as #1 Black Crappie. Something is wrong with that list.
