    Default Spark in Monroe

Monroe's not on fire yet....... it's more like a spark. Went this morning with rooster tail and we caught 8 around the 12" mark.....water temp 80*...... fished from about 7:30 til 10 and headed to the barn....windy...whitecaps....threatening rain etc. Scattered from mother's arm to stone island in 6 to 7 fow. Didn't have time to explore any other areas. Hot bait was a purple/chartreuse shad pole caught 5 of the 8 on that one pole. gonna go to academy and buy another package!

Haven't had much luck with it....it's a chubby one with a redhead and makes a lot of noise....I've tried it on several lakes around here and even Talquin last year but not much luck. It's just one of those old keepsakes that you keep trying over and over again hoping someday it'll pay off but probably never will. It's just something I take out once in a while and drag around the lake.

Now that right there is funny!

Yep, got to knock the rust off those old things every now and again (otherwise they'll bind up)!

Good news & great report, better than not goin.

If ya quit draggin rooster tail around behind ya - the fishin may get better
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
