Stumps are not always a bad thing unless your wanting to get moving. I was up by the dam just looking a few weeks back and saw that the had channel Markers there. Dont know if they are everywhere or not. Rousseau sounds a bit like Reelfoot in TN with all the tree stumps although Reelfoot is not man made. Should make for lots of cover. Cant wait to try it someday. And that day is coming soon...

Lake is noted for its large bass - large bluefill & shellcrackers (redears)
Spec (Crappie population) is not always talked that much about.........but they
should also be there in good quality numbers...
Same as Reelfoot - can't go crazy speed wise - go to watch whats going on
    around you

nice specks and cats...I fish in the channel edge where it is about 10ft on 1 side of the boat and 27ft on the other side, minnows and jigs for specks and large saltwater shrimp for cats....get out of the channel and you will find a stump, even in 20 ft of water I saw stumps 3ft across 4 inchs underwater.....

This is a great lake have caught monster bass, bluegills, shell crackers and even specks. Stopped fishing this lake when I was there one day and was going through the markers around 18-19 and hit a stump inside of the marker. Then while trolling got stuck on a stump in 18 feet of water and put a whole in my boat. That was the last trip for me about two years ago.

6And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

Well the good new is its most likely not so crowded and the pressure should not be to heavy. Time to get my Kayak out once I get it down here.

I agree there are stumps in the channel. Though, it's a Great Lake. Just don't run an area till you have idled and dropped a track.
