Don't make the mistake that I did. I had a HB with the regular SD slot and I never paid any attention to the fact that my Navionics card is actually both. I bought a new one to get the micro, only to discover that the one I had has the micro inserted into the regular card.

I can network these 2 units and still use my SD cards that I already have. Thx for all the input.
Not sure why you thought the Micro SD cards would cost that much, you can buy 32 gig ones for less than ten bucks.

I needed a Micro SD that had Navionics Maps loaded on it. Those cards are protected and will not allow you to copy them. I already had 2 regular SD cards.

Oh ok now I understand, that would be a deal breaker. Wonder why they used that format on those units.

I think Lowrance and Humminbird's low end units are only using the Micro SD cards. Not sure why. I call the Helix 5 a "low end" unit but I would have bought 2 of them had I not have already had the 2 regular size SD cards. The Lowrance Elite Series also only accept the Micro SD card. At least NOW when you buy a new card, you have the option from Navionics of using the regular or Micro card like SeaRay found out. All of the people I have talked to that have bought a Helix 5 are well pleased with them!!
