Default Got the Master Pad Man in my boat today.

I got the "Pad Master" aka Shuorc into my boat this morning and we hit the pads, and the fish were biting like crazy!

We caught a ton. Well maybe not a ton, but a heck of a lot of fish. Mostly all were dinks though.

Although some were nice. All told, I think only 4 were over 10.5 inches! doh

But I have to say, we had a riot. Used up a lot of minnows for sure.

And then this Bowfin hit. Wow, what a fight. Musta been 8 pounds. Straightened the Shinee Hinee hook right out, but was still able to save it and bed the hook back to catch more crappie.

It may look small in the net, but this sucker was huge. I'm shocked I was able to land it. They fight like heck, especially this size.

Ok...first of all that picture of shu had to be a month ago...it was 84* today and he's wearing his hoodie

second thing...that "bowfin" is a "mudfish" to us and it would go maybe 7 1/2lbs not 8.

It was warm, not terribly warm in the morn, but I still have no idea why shu kept the hoodie on that long. He's getting old you know, heck, I kept a long sleeve shirt on all morn! Go ahead and ask him if the pics were taken this morning gewb, and see what he says!

Yes it was yesterday and windy, hoodie stays on in the wind. Really was a pleasure fishing 'differently', clean boat, didn't have to drive, single pole and same jig all day and caught a 'pile' of fish and dinks didn't matter as have enough fish in freezer. Slab, thanks for a truly enjoyable day.

Looks like a good trip to me. I've fed those dumb mudfish too many gold shiners at a buck a piece. Fight like no tomorrow. Don't want to catch another one though.
