Default shopping for knowledge....not intel !!!

The new ride is almost ready to go, and im planning a weekend trip to one of the really popular lakes we frequently discuss here........My question is....On Feb. 19-20-21....is longlining in open lake still a solid bet, or should i be thinking river and spawning areas......Again, not looking for secrets.....but general knowledge would be greatly apreciated...

Longlining will still be doable. Might look closer to spawning flats and pull 1/32oz instead of 1/16oz. But ya never know till ya try. But typically find longlining slows on Monroe towards mid to end April. Last May they were still in Smokehouse on 4' of water and easily catchable spiderrigging.

Last year in Feb and thru March, long lining still produced good quality and numbers on one of the really popular lakes we frequently discuss here.
