I used to wet my red painted G3 and then mist with purple degreaser. Scrub with medium bristle brush with elbow grease. Rinse. Try in an inconspicuous, small area first. Be careful and keep wet/ rinse well. Scrubbing bubbles does well also.

I get some stuff called AWESOME from the local Dollar General. Cleaner in a spray bottle. Dollar a bottle. Wet boat spray some on and let sit a few minutes then scrub with car wash brush. Cleaned the scum right off.

Simple green. Spray on, wipe off. At least that gets the Atchafaylaya basin scum off.

Be careful if you go buy aluminum cleaner that it doesn't have acid. The stuff works great but the acid begins pitting the metal and once you start you're there for good.
