Take a chance and get one. You will like it. I myself have 2 of the 9ft grizzly jig elite fly/jig poles. I use the WM solo reels, but the reel you got would work perfect on them. I like them best, because most of my life I used a fly rod as a jig pole. The solo reels I only use in 8 ft or less water. But you could go deeper with the Eagle. I have tried them, 2 of my friends have them. Merry Christmas.

Hey Slab, make sure you make an instructional video on how to clean Crappie with your new hatchet. Y'all done good, but I gotcha beat. My Brother came sailing through his bypass surgery with flying colors yesterday and is back on the normal cardiac floor tonite. Best gift ever is a few more chances to fish with him. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of this Holiday season.

Well, got a new crappie rod disguised as a G. Loomis 7 foot spinning rod with a Stradic reel. 15 lb braid and all set to go do some drifting in Hatchinaw.
