Hey everyone really like the site seems to be some good folks on here.I just wanted to introduce myself and im looking for some advice.I live in ft.mccoy fl and grew up fishing all the waters round here.I fish lochloosa and the ocklawaha more then anything.I have always targeted specks during the spawn when they move in the bonnets but this year I'm determined to learn how to catch them rest of the year.I've been reading reading so much different info my head is spinning.any tips where to start like long lining vs spider rigging.any advice would be greatly appreciated.hope I wasn't to long winded, thanks for your time.

If you're fishing Lochloosa fish the North end across towards Little Lochloosa and spider rig. Use a number 5 split shot about 8 inches up the line with a blue/chartreuse curly tail and a 1/32 oz. jighead. Put out about 8-10 foot of line and do between .8 and 1 mph. Can't go wrong. I fished that lake for years with a buddy of mine and there are very few times we didn't limit, once we figured it out. Good luck, welcome, and tight lines to ya!

you should try Newnans as well. Good fishing there. you can troll the deeper water on the north end or try the lilly pads.
Welcome, glad you have decided to start tight lining and spider rigging, it's a blast.
