    Default Looking For Boat

Calling out to my fellow Florida anglers...

I've got a boat on hold at BPS that will probably close the deal on in the next couple weeks, but wanted to make one last ditch effort to find that "steal of a deal." Unfortunately I notice deep v boats are not the craze down here, but if any of you have a line on a good used boat, I would greatly appreciate it.

Examples of what I'm looking for:

Tracker Targa V18 with 150hp (First Choice), Crestliner SuperHawk 1650/1750, Crestliner FishHawk 1750, Tracker Pro Guide V175, Lowe FS175, Alumacraft Dominator 175 Sport, Alumacraft Competitor 175 Sport, Lund 1775 Impact, Skeeter WX 1880

Essentially, a deep v with either a 115 or 150 with a storage length of less than 21'. I will traverse the state for the right deal

    Thanks folks!!

I had a 2011 Tracker Pro Team 190 for sale but did not get any serious interest on CDC or Boattrader so I took it down. I am located in the Orlando area and if you are really interested I would happy to speak with you about it. Pictures can be found here

It is not a deep V but still big enough for big water and it has a 115 Pro XS with 35 hours warranty through 12/01/2015.

It has the swing tongue and I think it comes in under 21 feet.

I appreciate it, but that's the same boat I'm coming from. Looking to go away from the bass model to a deep v. Thanks though!!

I don't know where you plan on fishing, but a word of advice. A Targa does go very shallow and when the water is low it's hard to launch in many Florida lakes. You can forget about fishing bedding fish too! My buddy bought one and sold it less than a year at a huge loss. If crappie fishing all you do then a Ranger Fisherman is the way to go. Most of. The other boats you named will do fairly well. If you want aluminum look at the G3 Bay series or the crest liner bay or Lowe bay. They all have a shallow draft.

just to pass on info. about a boat designed by a guide, kent driscoll, specifically for crappie fishing. it is not a deep vee. it is the war eagle 861 predator. i bought it 1 1/2 years ago and love it. it was 25K new with a 115 merc 4 stroke and a few extras. designed for slow trolling, but i have it set up for longlining and slow trolling. just to throw out another option. jim

I appreciate it but the family would prefer the high sides. Thanks!

Craigslist on the coasts would probably be your best bet. I had a mid 80's Donzi with a deep Vee and could barely get it off the trailer on most ramps, I got it for a song and dance in Pensacola about 5 years ago. Lesson learned

Kinda curious why you are not considering any of the bay boats that are available all over around here? The size your looking for in a V hull would fall right in. And most are pre rigged for trolling motors. That Mako 21LTS is a nice ride and very fishy.

I am all for a bay boat, unfortunately I can't fit one in my garage and have no other storage options.

I absolutely understand that. Would not have thought the bay boats to be bigger than those deep V's. But do understand the need. Thats why I have what I have. It was that or a poling skiff. Love the poling skiffs but too many limitations.
