I was able to get off 1/2 day today. I got the boat ready last night and plan on heading to Talquin later on this afternoon. The Crappie.com sticker was the finishing touch on the boat. Time to break my "New To Me" boat in with some fish slime!!!!

Looks great Tim, wish you lots of luck with it. Go and catch some of those Talquin slabs.

It wasn't the best weekend of fishing, but we did manage to keep 28 good fish. Probably caught around 45-50. The fish are still scattered. We had to find structure to find fish. Very pleasant mornings and hot afternoons. Water temp was mid 70's in the morning to 80-82 in the afternoons. Felt great to be back out on the water.

The boat did very well for us. It isn't as big as what we are used to, but I think we'll adjust well to the change. Still have 7 hours of break in time left on the motor but well pleased with the motor so far. I may have to take it back out this weekend to get a 2nd opinion
