I'll figure something out. I got excited about the targa cause the wife said ok to the 150hp. Looking at lowe, g3, Crestliner, and lund, the prices with 150s seem to skyrocket.
Unfortunately we live in the land of HOAs (my bp rises just typing that) and that's the only storage option.

A friend had one of the targa's with a 115 optimax and the biggest drawback was the seats which sat bolt upright, very uncomfortable. Boat ran great but did grab the wind as expected. His 55lb troller wasn't big enough for the wind it would catch, needed a 24 volt troller. Only sold it to buy a 19' Stratos that was super to fish out of. After 3 years the wifes influence about having sides and a windshield won out and they bought a fiberglas version of the targa, a Stratos 18' w/Yamaha 150 4 stroke. Also very nice but the down side of the targa is the same as this. It is currently for sale and a 21'Triton, a '98, sits in it's place. For a boat with sides the Stratos 486(I think) is as good as it gets. Comfortable, stable, quiet, fishable and inexpensive to operate with the 4 stroke. You also might look into a Lowe aluminum deckboat. A few years old they run great with a 115 and lower profile than the newer deckboats. At around 20 or 32 feet there is acres of room and light enough to keep the kids occupied. Good luck in your search, lots to look at.Quote:

Still doing my research and the kick in the pants is based on my style of fishing and recreation, the best boat would the walleye style. I checked out their classifieds and there's half a dozen that are right up my alley....except in MINNESOTA! :banghead Hoping when the time comes, I get lucky and some yankee retiree brings me their "north" boat so they can get their bass boat lol :) Otherwise its between a new Targa V18 or Pro Guide V175.
