Default Give it a week or two

Lake Monroe is showing signs of being a good year. The water's up and the temps are coming down. Today WT was 84/85 compared to last Saturday of 87/88. The bite is still slow but a few big fish are biting. The Saturday crew have been catching a few in the 13" range and today I landed a nice one just a smidgin under 14". Nice fat fish dark healthy fish. FCC...watch out for huntinslabs and crappieday next weekend...they've zeroed in on some hot spots and I don't think they'll have any trouble bringing 7 moby specs to the weigh-in.

My opinion for what it's worth I believe we'll start getting limits in Monroe the week of the 22nd! Until then......!

don't know why two pics showed up..........don't know whose prettier the fish or me!

Nice fish Mike but the cigar has to go. Looks like a good year for Monroe.

Took my wife and brown dog and headed out with Andy and Mike not far behind. Pleasant morning with overcast skies, tad more wind than I woulda liked. Checked around a few more areas and we managed 15 and kept 8. Brown dog was cocking his leg around 9:45 so we headed out.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
