Lake Monroe is showing signs of being a good year. The water's up and the temps are coming down. Today WT was 84/85 compared to last Saturday of 87/88. The bite is still slow but a few big fish are biting. The Saturday crew have been catching a few in the 13" range and today I landed a nice one just a smidgin under 14". Nice fat fish dark healthy fish. FCC...watch out for huntinslabs and crappieday next weekend...they've zeroed in on some hot spots and I don't think they'll have any trouble bringing 7 moby specs to the weigh-in.
My opinionfor what it's worth I believe we'll start getting limits in Monroe the week of the 22nd! Until then......
!
don't know why two pics showed up..........don't know whose prettier the fish or me!

sorry man, didn't have time last night. We got there just as they were openin the gate, headed out & found that there were floatin islands out in the the lake
. They weren't as bad as the eel grass just below the surface so you can't really see until it's already tangled in your line
