I have not heard of guys shrimping on that side. I dont se why they wouldnt be able to get shrimp over there. But you will be dead on some prime inshore saltwater fishing. Might post a question on the microskiff forum. And those are some good guys like this forum.

Lived all my life in Tampa Bay area. Never heard of anyone castnetting shrimp on west coast. My brother and others used to pull try nets at night in Tampa Bay. Caught a lot of shrimp and Blue Crabs that way. I could be wrong but I think shrimpers have been outlawed in Tampa Bay. I wouldn't know where to go over here to even try.

With all this rain the shrimp have slowed down to about nothing. We need a week of dry weather and northeast winds.
