    Default My fishing partner

Just had some communication with SKIFFIN16.

Several months ago he under went a surgery called WHIPPLE SURGERY. It is a life changing event. (For those of you who do not what this type of surgery is, you can google it.) It is not for the faint of heart.

John is having a tough time with the recuperation from the surgery. He sure could use your prayers.

He could use your POSITIVE comments and thoughts. He would like to hear from his friends. Just send him a PM.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you during the difficult time.

    Thank you friends....

It has definitely been much tougher than I had figured, and I'm a pretty strong guy.

Unfortunately your body dictates recovery, I've had a pretty tough one so far... But very slowly I'm getting there.

Luckily, I had a few pounds to lose, because since the surgery on 4/22, I've lost 60#... John's boat will be happy..., LOL.

My stomach hasn't really woken back up as of yet, most food has no appeal to me at all and I can't tolerate much other than Ensures and liquids.

At least I'm not constantly nauseous as I was..

I'm sleeping pretty good only getting up a few times rather than the many that I was.

I really hope to be back in shape by the fall, and miss fishing with you guys, can't wait to be back on the water.

Thanks again for thinking of me...
    John

Get well soon and we'll see you in Sept.

    P.S. I think I found that 60lbs you lost.

Good luck John, think about the good times this fall. I hate to say this, but no pain, no gain. You are strong and have a good amount of prayers. See you this fall.
