I wonder how many baby crappies that Redfish had eaten during its lifetime in Crescent? Just thinking out loud...

So long as them baby crappies weren't in a diaper, that red prolly ate plenty of 'em.....just thinkin out loud

Sorry Luke, thought it was funny - that is one heck of a fishery & full of food for all sorts - I've thought the same thing when I've hooked onto one of them 4 foot gar that are in there..... do you think the redfish live there or just migrate??
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

I saw your post while I was driving and I did LOL. Yeah, I wonder the same thing about those reds. Funny thing is for me, I've caught a few redfish, but I've never got one single largemouth bass while crappie fishing on Crescent. Anyone else catch any bass on Crescent?

At one time it was totted as being the "bass capitol of the world" infact it has
monuments both ends of town that say that, although, i have never caught a bass
there. Plenty of Gar - Flounder - couple small small snook -lady fingers - shellcracker,
blue gill and sometimes a Spec or two.

Do have to have a saltwater and freshwater license to keep a redfish while crappie fishing?

having to pocess a fishing license and being a permanent resident.

Yes you do. All species of saltwater fish even a stingray or Ladyfish. Depending on Warden you need one just to remove from water to remove hook,
