Tried it again this morning............I think huntinslabs is the only one catching any and he ain't talking. Went to monroe and the river north...water muddy!!!....WT 77.....with scum floating etc. etc. Don't know if that has anything to do with no beds but that's the only excuse I have.

At least you been out there tryin, I haven't been since the classic at Monroe & had the whole week off work last week & never hooked up to the boat once It was a windy, rainy week but I woulda still went if I didn't have so much work at the house to do.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Riverside north end between bullrush and pads, also from south entrance go south about 200 yards on west bank. Have not seen any number of beds or any with developed eggs. They are late it seems. Least the ones I been catchin. Prolly start changing real fast though,

by looking at map, seems that whole area along the old river run would be
pretty good, noting willow trees, grass - 4- 5 water etc.......i guess would call that
east side of lake .....been told there are some dandy blue gill & shells in Monroe and
    related water to....

Harold that is a good area. But Mike should know exactly where I am fishing. Cant disclose more on here. Toooo many eyes. And been able to hide in the new boat. Have had people that followed me in my old boat zoom right by and not figure it out. Trying to keep a low profile.

Harold the old river bed is loaded with gars......I tried it last week for shellies and found boo-coodles of gar in the pads. I've heard that when the gar move in... the bream move out and bed elsewhere......maybe the lake!

i have also heard same about gars vs gills - it does seem that way - from past
experience single pole jiggin of pads and hyrdrilla looking for spec's - if you hit a gar
might just a well move to another location as all other game fish have vacated area.
