    Yep, I usually give it a small hook set, and keep it tight while I reel the fish in. I hardly ever lose fish while long-lining...and I ain't that good of a fisherman.

    i used contact cement - kind you can get at home depot.........3 yrs ago, have had
    no problems and have used pressure washer to clean it couple times - vs hand scrubbing
    Nothing but good.
