Thread: Lake weir, lake Apopka

I think Lake Apopka is not too bad on specks. In fact, out of the entire Harris/Dora/apopka chain is much rather fish apopka. Best advice I can give is to put in at downtown winter garden and follow the south shoreline west into gourds neck. Look for the clearer water on south shoreline half way through the neck.

I don't know, I hadn't been fishing in almost a month. I've been the guy skiing on Carlton 2-3x a week lately (shedding my extra winter pounds LOL). Seriously thinking about going to bass fish the canals on Harris in the morning.
Was doing some exploring that way 2 weeks ago and seen some very nice potential.
