Fishing off land west pal

Hey yall i am a new member and interested in speck fishing but its hard to find other people interested in south florida, it also does not help that im shorebound....
Wanted to know if there were any places to catch specks from land around west palm and the orlando area? Are the specks a ready moving offshore or can they still be caught in the cattails given the warm weather this yr.

Check the canal at the end of boat ramp road in Stuart. Could walk it for miles unless something changed in the last 5 or so years.
