Default OK Florida here I come

Can't wait! Leaving Friday AM with 7 other fishermen to spend a week on the Big "O". Fishing mainly for bream and then Oscars if we get tired of bream fishing. This is my first trip to the O and first time with this group, even though I've know several of them forever.
I am sneaking in a couple of crappie rods and my minnow bucket just in case I have the chance to try them also.
We are staying in Clewiston at Roland Martin's marina (not sure he still owns part of it??)
Hope the weather holds out. Today was the first really nice day we have had in SC this spring. Looking forward to some Florida sunshine.

I believe Roland Martins ex wife owns it now. Hope yall have a blast down there. Them Oscars are supposed to have a bad attitude when caught, like shellcrackers on steroids.

Hope you are able to have "the blast your looking for" Never been down that
far on lake, can't help out TC. May want to check with locals on how handle the caught
Oscars.. Good eating but quite slimmey in live well unless handle water differently.
Before - during and after being caught.

Send pictures along with stories -
    Enjoy, enjoy

My friend that puts this trip together has been coming down for quite a while so he has briefed me on the Oscars. Matter of fact, they don't like you to clean them at the cleaning stations at the marina so we have to "sneak" in after everyone else is finished.
Frankly, this part of the trip sounds like catch and release to me.
