    Default Afternoon Talquin trip


    Just got my new unit on the boat and was ready to try it out. So I headed down after lunch. On the water around 2 off the water by 5 with a nice limits. Here are some pictures:

    The lake is muddy, but fish are still biting great. A lot of boat traffic kept the water stirred up and rods bouncing. Though, in between waves you would always get bit. I remember why I never fish the lakes on the weekends this time of year. Ski boats are already out and they brought there jet ski friend too!

    Fish are still biting in creek mouths, back to pads. I found mine in 15 foot down at least 10 foot longline trolling double 1/16ths with the get you some color on plain lead heads. Those fish love bubblegum.

    Nice photos. We were on Talquin yesterday morning. Spent three nights at LTL. Didn't get any limits on a specific outing but ended up with 61 nice keepers for the trip. That's still a lot of fish for two guys to eat.
