So started reading this board a few weeks ago since my dad had been wanting to do some crappie fishing. First the level of activity on this forum is great and hope to give back whenever I can though I am an absolute crappie newbie. I've spent most of my time saltwater fishing but recently got into bass tournaments and am now getting pretty serious about crappie too.
On to the report:
We decided to head up to Tarpon on Saturday morning. We started out drifting and trolling minnows in 9-10 feet near pasture fence point got a few hits but nothing happened so we went in closer and worked the edge since a friend up in Ocala said the spawn was on in Rodman. We fished a couple hours and the three of us picked up 8 with the biggest being 14". Not a haul but we got some for the fryer. I'm the guy in the middle incase you ever see me and want to say hi. I run a black g3 bass boat with a bayareabassmaster sticker on the console.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
